86400 Impact Studio

A growing record of ideas, tests and learning.

This page shares ventures and initiatives with permission and clear status. It distinguishes concepts from prototypes, pilots and active work, and reports progress only when it is supported by evidence.

How the studio's AI agent multiplies a young person's idea

The 86400 AI Infrastructure Agent does not solve problems for people, nor does it replace human facilitation, community trust, or local relationships. Instead, it acts as an enabling infrastructure partner that expands what young people and local champions can achieve across three core phases (Define, Develop, Achieve) using five specialised sub-agent personas:

  1. 1. Petra (Understand) — Problem Analyst
  2. 2. Bailey (Imagine) — Brainstorming Partner
  3. 3. Sophia (Design) — Solution Designer
  4. 4. Isaac (Act) — Implementation Readiness Coach
  5. 5. Cara (Keep Going) — Coaching & Resilience Guide

Sipho — Start With 100 Rand Challenge Box

Durban, South Africa · Ideas without practical path to business

By his own count, Sipho had eleven business ideas and nothing to spend on any of them. Every one lived in the notes app on his phone, politely waiting for 'someday'. One evening he typed it all out to the 86400 AI Infrastructure Agent: 'My ideas keep dying in my notes. Help me kill one properly, so at least I know.'

Twelve of the 15 made a profit, and nine reinvested their takings in a second round instead of spending them. Sipho finally deleted ten of the eleven ideas from his notes app, and kept the one that had paid him. The workflow now lives on as the 'Start With 100 Rand Challenge Box', so that other young people can find out if an idea works before they bet their savings on it.

Tshepo — PassItOn Peer Tutoring Network Box

Pretoria, South Africa · Matric failure and lack of peer tutoring

Tshepo failed matric mathematics the first time. He passed it on the rewrite after a boy two years older explained a single concept in ten minutes, a concept the teacher had spent a whole term on. 'It wasn't the teacher,' he explained to the 86400 AI Infrastructure Agent. 'It was that this guy remembered what it felt like not to get it.'

When the term-end tests came back, 17 of the 24 learners had improved by at least one achievement level in at least one subject. The tutors had learned as much as the learners. The 'PassItOn Peer Tutoring Network Box' lets any school keep the chain going, with each cohort teaching the next.
