How 86400 Impact Studio handles personal information, in plain language.
Awaiting content approval
Draft prepared 14 October 2026 — awaiting review and approval by the studio's responsible person before launch. The remaining bracketed dates are set at approval.
Who we are
This website is operated by 86400 Impact Studio, a registered Non Profit Company in South Africa (registration number 2025/966388/08), with its registered address at 8 Peace Avenue, Morningside, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, 4001. For anything in this policy, write to info@impactstudio.africa.
What we collect
We collect very little, and only what you choose to give us:
- Email enquiries — when you write to info@impactstudio.africa, we receive your email address, your name if you share it, and the content of your message.
- Newsletter — if you subscribe to studio updates, we collect your email address (and your first name if you choose to give it) together with a record of your consent. Subscription uses double opt-in: nothing is added to our list until you confirm from your own inbox.
- Technical logs — our hosting provider keeps standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to keep the site secure and working.
What we use it for
To reply to your enquiry, to send you the updates you asked for, and to keep the website secure and reliable. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Your consent
We process your information with your consent, or where it is reasonably necessary to respond to you. You may withdraw consent at any time: every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your details by writing to info@impactstudio.africa.
Who processes it for us
The website is hosted by Vercel, email is handled through our mail provider, and the newsletter is managed through Mailchimp. Some of these providers process information outside South Africa; we use established providers whose terms include appropriate safeguards for that processing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and for reasonable record-keeping. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.
Your rights
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its processing. Write to info@impactstudio.africa and we will respond. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).
Children
This website is public information for everyone, including young people. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; where a programme involves participants under 18, consent is handled with a parent or guardian as part of that programme, not through this website.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page with a new date. Effective date: [to be set at approval].
