86400 Impact Studio

Measure what people can do, not what a platform claims.

86400’s impact approach asks whether people beyond the studio can use the infrastructure to run their own solutions, and whether those solutions are useful, safe and locally owned.

Two people walk a large dotted orange loop past waymarker stones carved with a question mark, a beaker, a magnifying glass and a speech bubble.

What we pay attention to

People engaged; problems defined; solutions developed; pilots started by others; active champions and countries; reusable tools and adaptations; cost per participant or activation; trust and consent quality; and follow-on opportunities.

Awaiting content approval

Definitions, sources and reporting periods must be shown before publishing metrics.

Responsible AI

AI may help generate options, organise information, draft materials, analyse evidence and accelerate reporting. Humans must verify sources and local relevance, protect consent and rights, and make strategy, partnership, resource and go/no-go decisions. Do not imply that AI replaces local knowledge, facilitation or human accountability.

Privacy, consent and safety

Collect personal or community information only for a clear purpose, with informed consent, minimisation and protection. Set access, retention and deletion rules. Do not publish personal stories, creative work, images or data without consent and usage clarity. Identify safeguarding responsibilities and referral routes before work begins.

Evidence before scale

Test usefulness and safety at a proportionate scale. Report what was done, what changed, what evidence supports the claim, what is uncertain and what participants think should happen next.

Awaiting content approval

An impact dashboard should go live only when metric definitions, data sources, consent and approval are in place.
